BC Holdings of Tennessee

In addition to Debbie and Paul being there, offering guidance and support on whatever the need was at the time, they’re extremely useful in offering up resources to ensure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. Their expertise is vast, so there is not just one thing they are amazing at. The fact is, they know all things government. Whether you are new to federal contracting or a seasoned firm like us, they will meet you where you are. Take that to the bank!

BC Holdings of TN (BC Holdings) is an 8(a) certified, veteran-owned, SDVOSB, and minority-owned financial wellness and workforce training business located in Nashville, TN. Owners Saundra and Sidney Curry are celebrating their 25th year in business. The company was recently awarded a contract worth more than $287,000 to provide comprehensive financial readiness and wellness training services and resources to the employee population of the U.S. Customs and Immigration Services.

BC Holdings offers non-fiduciary, award-winning financial wellness workshops, services and products. The company creates and delivers financial wellness programs and services to companies, colleges/universities, training organizations, government entities, and nonprofit organizations.
According to Saundra and Sidney, “It is a privilege and an honor for BC Holdings to assist the federal government with mission-readiness, and ultimately, national security. As a veteran-owned company, we fully understand the power of giving and sacrificing our time, talents and skills through service for the greater good of others. And we are humbled by the government’s trust in our work.

“Winning this award is especially rewarding because it developed as a direct result of word of mouth from another longstanding client of BC Holdings, the United States Navy. The impactful and measurable outcomes that BC Holdings provides to the Navy led to this amazing referral and ultimately, the award of being the preferred vendor of choice.”

BC Holdings began its relationship with the Tennessee APEX Accelerator in 2016, working with Program Manager Paul Middlebrooks and Counselor Debbie Barber. With their guidance, Saundra and Sidney successfully navigated the GSA Schedule process as well as becoming certified as an SDVOSB and SBA 8(a) business. Each of these steps takes time and patience.

Saundra said, “In addition to Debbie and Paul being there, offering guidance and support on whatever the need was at the time, they’re extremely useful in offering up resources to ensure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. Their expertise is vast, so there is not just one thing they are amazing at. The fact is, they know all things government. Whether you are new to federal contracting or a seasoned firm like us, they will meet you where you are. Take that to the bank!”

According to Debbie, “Saundra and Sidney worked diligently for several years on these big certifications, while at the same time submitting bids on and being awarded contract opportunities. These awards kept their business on a forward trajectory. They put in the time and effort needed, knowing there likely would not be an immediate award – that they would have to put in the work – and they did!

“These two worked hard to get their certifications and keep them current. They continue to be awarded government contracts as a result of their listening and understanding of the government processes and regulations. This husband and wife are a dynamic duo team in terms of educating their clients to financial wellness.”

Going forward, Saundra and Sidney look forward to expanding their relationship with USCIS. Sidney said, “We’re excited about the potential for growth and expansion of our products and services into the many USCIS locations across the country and the world.”
