Tennessee APEX Accelerator client Network Construction, a Memphis-based company, was recently awarded a contract with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to provide building structure and buildouts for the agency. The company began as a small maintenance company in 2001 and has grown into a residential, commercial, and industrial general contractor with a reputation built on hard work, integrity, and quality craftsmanship.
Willam Hampton, owner of Network Construction, became a client of the TN APEX Accelerator in early 2024 when he connected with West Tennessee Counselor Veronica Clark at an 8 (a) conference in Atlanta. Shortly thereafter, Veronica began helping William in strengthening his capability statement, targeting the right agencies, gaining certifications, and developing a marketing plan.
William said, “What brought me to the APEX Accelerator was their ability to help businesses gain exposure to better job opportunities. I saw it as a way to grow, connect with higher-quality projects, and continue building a strong reputation in the industry.”
According to Veronica, “William and his team understood that the government buys what they sell, but they were struggling to find ways to tap into those markets. We were able to work together to find ways to refine Network Construction’s elevator pitch and capability statement as well as strengthen the company’s SBA profile. From there, the TN APEX Accelerator was able to help the company make intentional connections with large prime contractors.”
William feels very positive about winning this award with the FBI and is eagerly looking forward to the next opportunity. “This award means a great deal to our business. Construction is hands-on, detail-driven work, and we take pride in doing things the right way. Being recognized like this validates the long hours, the craftmanship, and the commitment our team brings to every job. I am very hopeful this award will lead the company to more future federal contracts.
Veronica stated, “William and his team have been professionally persistent and willing to put in the work. When faced with challenges, they have stepped up and have followed through. Anytime I’ve shared an opportunity or event, they show up ready to connect and engage”
Of his experience with the TN APEX Accelerator, William says, “Veronica gave us the guidance, support, and direction we needed to grow and pursue those opportunities. The TN APEX Accelerator made a real difference for our business. Their support and connections helped us move forward and get in front of better opportunities.”
