PPS Orthotic & Prosthetic Services (a Division of Custom Healthcare, LLC) is a leader in providing high-quality artificial limbs, orthotics, and shoes. The company recently secured two contracts with the Veterans Administration (VA), marking significant milestones in the company’s growth and success. Founded in 2006 by James Rogers, PPS is dedicated to serving its community by offering essential healthcare products to those in need.

Since partnering with the Tennessee APEX Accelerator in 2023, PPS has won two VA contracts, one in July 2023 and another in February 2024 for a combined total of just under $55,000. These contracts will enable PPS to provide much-needed prosthetics and orthotics to veterans, reinforcing the company’s commitment to its mission.

“This achievement has reinvigorated our team,” said James Rogers, Owner and CEO. “We now feel better positioned to grow our business, attract new patients, and increase our revenue. These contracts represent not just financial success, but a renewed sense of purpose in serving those who need us most.”

PPS’s journey into government contracting wasn’t easy. James credits the Tennessee APEX Accelerator and counselor Jutta Bangs for her unwavering support throughout the process. “The government contract procurement process is complicated,” Rogers said. “Jutta’s expertise and confidence gave us the guidance we needed to navigate the steps, even pointing out areas we didn’t realize we had overlooked. Without her, we would not have won these contracts.”

Jutta, who nominated PPS for this success story, praised the company’s diligence and preparedness. “James and his team, especially D'Lon Parker, have worked hard to do things right,” said Bangs. “They were thorough, asked the right questions, and took the time to ensure they met all compliance requirements.”

Looking ahead, PPS Orthotic & Prosthetic Services hopes to build on this momentum and continue growing. The company is excited about the opportunities these contracts will bring as they continue to serve their community and veterans.
